The Preteckt Engineering team has been working hard to deliver new features that will make it easier for you to discover and troubleshoot problems with your fleet. Today, we’re happy to announce some new features, all of which are immediately available on the Preteckt Dashboard.
As you know, there are many things that could go wrong in a truck. Our machine learning pipeline analyzes your trucks’ sensor data to notify you about things that could soon fail. However, there may be instances where you just don’t need to know about things immediately.
We’re happy to announce that you can now mute certain types of alerts on the dashboard. Each alert now contains a mute button. When pressed, this will mute the alert, removing similar types of alerts from your dashboard.
For example, you may not wish to see Fuel Level alerts for your entire fleet. Simply mute the next Fuel level alert you see on your dashboard, and you’ll stop seeing those alerts in the future. Don’t worry though, we’ll continue to track thos alerts, and you can always change this setting later.
Default Sensor Groups in our Data Viewer
In addition to muted alerts, we’ve also created a handy set of default sensor groups that are available to you in the Data Viewer. These sensor groups are custom collections of sensors to help you more quickly diagnose common problems such as DPF or Electrical issues.
We’ve also revised the Sensor group tools so it’s easier than ever to customize your own sensor groups. We hope this change allows you to more quickly diagnose problems when they arise.
Autocompletion on Search
Sometimes little improvements can have a large impact. In our efforts to make the dashboard as user-friendly as possible, we’ve implemented auto-complete in the dashboard’s search.
Now, as soon as you start to search for one of your trucks, we’ll immediately provide a list of all matching results so you can choose the one you wish to view.
Improved VIN Matching for your Assets
We recently announced our [asset management tools](), and since that announcement we’ve made a few improvments to this feature. These include:
- More information on the list of assets such as make, model, and year of your trucks.
- Improved VIN matching: Enter your truck’s VIN, and we’ll populate the rest of the details. But we won’t overwrite your data
- VIN verification to check that a VIN is valid.
- Performance improvements, so these pages load more quickly.
We hope these updates make your life a little easier and keep your trucks on the road. As always, let us know what you think.
